Pregnancy Symptoms

Pregnancy symptoms could vary from person to person. Some women exhibit a combination of several pregnancy symptoms while some do not display any. By treating a symptom in isolation as a definite indicator of pregnancy does not guarantee a positive pregnancy result. There should be further observation to determine if the person displays other positive pregnancy symptoms to really affirm a pregnancy. Just as the pregnancy symptoms differ from person to person, the types of symptoms displayed also changes with the period of pregnancy. The common pregnancy symptoms are missed period, early morning sickness, frequent urination and fatigue. Apart from these symptoms, other symptoms like breast tenderness, nausea, mood swings, increased hunger, cravings for or aversion to certain foods, lower back pain and weight gain.

One of the early pregnancy symptoms is swollen and tender nipples. You can start feeling a soreness or higher sensitivity in the area of your breast nipples. When a woman becomes pregnant, the body produces certain hormones that prepare a woman’s breasts for feeding the baby. This causes the feelings described above. Some women experience nausea in the morning on an empty stomach while others may feel the same at midday or throughout the day. This symptom usually shows up just about thirty days into the pregnancy. The other pregnancy symptoms like mood swings, lower back pain and weight gain are not all that common but a combination of any two or more of the above symptoms can definitely indicate a pregnancy.
